Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Project Lead to manage various engineering projects in the largest aluminum extrusion mill in North America. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of heavy industrial experience, expertise in machine design, and strong project management skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of heavy industrial experience
- Expertise in machine design, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and mechanical systems
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to lead projects from scope through commissioning
- Proficient in AutoCAD and capable of producing and interpreting engineering drawings
- Able to evaluate vendor proposals, develop specifications, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to collaborate effectively with controls engineers, maintenance, and production teams
- Strong problem-solving mindset with proven experience improving equipment reliability and performance
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing or robotics is a plus
