Operations Accounting Specialist

Join Interstate Batteries as an Operations Accounting Specialist and be part of a company that values its team members and positively impacts the lives of all it touches. Assemble, review, and distribute monthly financial statements to Company-owned distributors, and analyze financial data to provide insights to the Operations and Finance Teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or 5 years of related Accounting experience.
• A minimum of one year of Financial Reporting experience (Income Statements, Financial Statements, etc.).
• A minimum of 2 years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience preferably in the distribution industry.
• Strong personal computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• SAP general ledger experience is helpful.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently but capable of working in a team environment as well.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, telephone, explanation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Well organized, with a high degree of accuracy, and very detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks on a regular basis, accustomed to tight deadlines, and able to juggle multiple projects under minimal guidance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
