The Security Operations Center Operator is a highly visible, dual-function role responsible for maintaining situational awareness for all protected assets, including personnel, facilities, and information. The operator is the first line of defense, responsible for proactive monitoring, rapid response coordination, and providing critical support to deployed security teams.
Requirements
- Situational Awareness: Monitors and maintains awareness of all global security and political incidents that may affect operations or the safety of protected personnel.
- Access Control and Monitoring: Operates and monitors technical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, intrusion detection, fire alarm systems) to protect personnel, assets, facilities, livestock, and information.
- Emergency Response: Initiates and coordinates emergency response protocols (fire, medical, security) and ensures the timely and accurate escalation of incidents to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Security Reporting: Maintains accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports, daily logs, and shift summaries.
- Movement Support: Coordinates secure client movements, including itinerary tracking, geo-fence monitoring, threat analysis, and maintaining constant communication with deployed Executive Protection personnel and drivers to ensure safe and efficient transit.
- Deployment Assistance: Assists shift supervisors in the deployment of security personnel and manages personnel activities across all protected locations.
- Communication: Serves as the central communication hub, maintaining clear and professional contact with staff, guests, vendors, emergency services, and employees via radio, telephone, email, and in-person.
- Operational and Client Support: Handles diverse operational and personal tasks that extend beyond traditional physical security.
- Patrols: Conducts static and roving patrols.
- Training: SOC operators will be expected to participate in ongoing training and evaluation including combatives, deescalation techniques, weapons proficiency, emergency medicine, driving, surveillance detection, and more.
