Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer / Data Engineer to support a high-volume, regulated environment within the securities domain. The role involves building and optimizing database solutions, developing reliable data pipelines, and enabling business intelligence reporting while ensuring strong compliance and data governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering, database development, or similar roles (financial/securities industry preferred)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Solid understanding of ETL workflows and data modelling
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Experience with BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau
- Exposure to cloud-based data environments
