Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to support our work on game-changing green technology and grow within our world-class team. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment, where no two days are the same. Reporting to the Power Electronics Team Lead, you will play a key role in developing, designing, implementing and testing electronics circuits and systems.

What You Will Do

Develop power electronics hardware and circuitry for power converters and controllers in grid connected applications, design and prototype power conversion systems, and conduct root-cause analysis for system-level debugging.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering or equivalent
• Extensive experience in power electronics design, ideally in high power applications
• Good understanding of electronic and electrical components and their principles, integrated circuits, signal processing and passive/active filter designs
• Experience in electronics circuit modelling and simulation
• Ability to design, create and test PCBs
• Experience conducting laboratory and site-based testing using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, grid emulators etc
• Experience designing systems fit for large scale manufacturing and production
• Communication skills enabling you to work with various teams across the globe
