Assistant Teaching Professor in Advanced Undergraduate Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for a new faculty member at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The primary duties for this position consist of teaching courses at the level of advanced undergraduate mathematics.

Requirements

• PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• A record of three years of excellence in postsecondary teaching focused on advanced undergraduate mathematics
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience working with graduate teaching assistants
• Experience in course development
• Experience working with mathematics majors and attracting new students to the major
• Proficient with software systems, such as ALEKS, MyLabs, and Canvas
