Job Description
Performs diagnostic abdominal, vascular, small parts and pelvic sonography on patients of various ages. Must have RVT Registry and BLS certification.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (in Ultrasound) or ARDMS
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Ultrasound or AMA Accredited School of Ultrasound
- Must have RVT Registry
- BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ultrasound experience preferred
- Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, staff and physicians
- Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to exercise skills in the area of initiative, problem solving, decision-making and multi-tasking
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Knowledge of organization policies, regulations and common safety hazard precautions to establish a safe work environment
