Propulsion Design Engineer (m/f/d)

As Propulsion Design Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing engine models to provide load point predictions, engine performance uncertainty quantifications, and collaborating with the Guidance Navigation and Control Team to provide engine performance models and parameters for the flight software. You will work within the Turbopump Team and collaborate with system owners of all subcomponents of the engine.

Requirements

• M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar.
• Exceptional knowledge in thermodynamics and rocket motor system architecture as well as sub system interactions.
• Knowledge in measurement technology and stochastic analysis (Uncertainty Quantification and propagation).
• Fundamental understanding of combustion, thrust chambers, valves and turbopump systems.
• Proven experience in developing and validating empiric, semi empiric or analytical models as well as setting up cycle models of complex fluid systems/machinery.
