Senior Energy Market Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Energy Market Analyst to join our internal market monitoring group. As a member of the Surveillance and Analysis team, you will develop a detailed understanding of the workings of the wholesale electricity market and provide valuable insight to our team by applying economic principles in your daily monitoring of market outcomes and participant behavior.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in economics, business, public policy, or another related field.
• Experience and/or demonstrated interest in wholesale electricity markets and the electric industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong quantitative skills with emphasis on analysis using SAS or similar programming language
• Ability to conduct forensic-like investigations of market outcomes and participant behavior
