The Buyer/Planner II will coordinate production plans and schedules, plan and issue production work orders, process requisitions, and manage raw materials and finish goods to avoid shortages or excess stock. The individual will establish and promote internal and external relationships with departmental stakeholders and key suppliers to support the organization.
Requirements
- Monitor and clear Receiving and Material Review Board discrepancies
- Achieve cost savings based on standard pricing
- Source vendors for best prices, availability, best values, and supply chain continuity
- Obtain appropriate approvals for all purchases
- Actively ensure overall product and supplier quality
- Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- ERP (Oracle) loading demand requirements, work orders, and transfer orders
- Determine capacity, production and shipping schedules
- Plan and procure supplies, raw materials, components, sub-assemblies and equipment necessary
- Plan sequence of assembly, installation, configuration, test and other manufacturing operations for mix of products
- Submit routers to Document Control for creation
- Report preparation and submission
- Maintain positive flow of communication
- Establish and promote relationships with different departments
- Coordinate with sales support, shipping/receiving, and production to meet requirements
- Participate in LEAN training, activities, and projects to promote continuous process improvements
- Assist in development of policies, procedures, metrics and key performance indicators
- Resolves problems utilizing root cause analysis & analytical abilities
- Responsible for on-time delivery from assigned suppliers and on-time delivery to customer orders
- Initiates cost saving activities/projects with suppliers/production/engineering (VAVE)
- Oracle Fusion experience preferred
