Job Description
The Assistant Procurement Manager will be responsible for the full procurement functionalities of operations, acting as Astron's second to the Procurement Manager. The position involves developing and administering goals, objectives, and daily priorities for the Procurement department, identifying cost savings, and driving cross-functional teams to qualify parts and work with suppliers for capacity planning and ramp.
Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Business/Commercial
- Minimum 3 or 4 years in purchasing; comprehensive knowledge in strategic procurement
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Able to work as an individual contributor
- Fluent English and Arabic - both verbal and written (able to communicate and deal with all levels)
- Overall procurement experience / knowledge (Eg, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, designing & enhancing procurement related SOP etc)
- Committed to work and completed tasks within the deadline given
