Claims Consultant

Provide stakeholders with efficient claims advice and administration according to required standards and procedures. Minimise claims and expenses, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ensure minimisation of claims and claims expenses
• Communicate accurately and professionally with stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Achieve client satisfaction targets
• Adhere to company quality standards and regulatory frameworks
• Manage claims process from notification to settlement
• Assess claims validity and estimate value
• Administer mandated claims and forward excess claims to insurer
• Obtain quotes and arrange approval and payment for claims costs
• Act as intermediary between insurer and client
• Follow recoveries process and keep clients informed
• Meet productivity targets and contribute to team performance
• Report suspected fraud, misrepresentation and/or dishonesty
