Product Design Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

ICIMS is seeking a Product Design Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join a leading aerospace and defense electrical connector manufacturer. The intern will work on the design and validation of electrical connectors in the challenging military and aerospace environments, gaining hands-on experience and benefiting from mentorship from experienced engineers. The role involves interpreting customer requirements, contributing to concept development, and ensuring quality through design validation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering program.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
• Knowledge of metals, plastics, and rubber materials preferred.
• Knowledge/experience in CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or political asylee status.
