Ivy Tech Community College - Richmond is seeking a student-centered Academic Advisor in the Schools of Business, Logistics, and Supply Chain, and Public Affairs and Social Services to provide holistic, developmental advising to continuing students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, or an associate degree with an approved plan toward bachelor’s degree completion.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in academic advising, student services, enrollment management, or a related student-support role.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse student populations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using virtual meeting platforms, CRM systems, student information systems, or related technologies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-facing environment.
