Tutor, Part-Time

Ivy Tech Community College seeks a part-time tutor to assist students in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, small group, and virtual tutoring. The tutor will provide learning assistance, explain concepts, and aid students in developing positive study habits. The part-time tutor will work a flexible schedule and report directly to the Director of the Learning Resource Center.

Requirements

• Tutors students in a one-on-one, small-group, drop-in, or classroom tutoring format
• Explains concepts and asks questions to encourage independent thinking
• Keeps records of tutoring sessions
• Works with supervisor to provide schedules of hours and promote the tutoring program
• Maintains organization and cleanliness within the Tutoring Centers
