Job Description
The Shipping Tech will be responsible for preparing items for all outgoing shipments, including packaging, creating bills of lading, building pallets, and loading the trailer. Duties also include using FedEx ship manager, Everest's shipping wizard, EDI (true commerce), and arranging for the transportation of products.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination (preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
