Systems Engineer

J5 Consulting is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide computing and consulting services for government and commercial entities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in information security and tech ops, as well as strong software development and scripting skills.

Requirements

• Computer networking in Windows AND Linux
• Cloud provider provisioning/procurement
• Use of common online services In a persona-specific environment
• Website configuration
• Web-page Building
• Basic software development/scripting/software testing and debugging (Linux and Windows)
• Building tech-ops plans using available tools/techniques
• Evaluating complex situations and requirements
• Selecting appropriate technical capabilities/use of tools and develop methodologies
• Familiarity with social media sites and creation/management/troubleshooting social media accounts
• Experience with VPNs (OpenVPN, Wireguard), Residential and Mobile proxies and firewall rules
• Psychological resilience and effective time management
• Azure/AWS Cloud Administration and Tier 1 user support
• Managing cash funds and procurement
• Persona identity handling
• Operational tradecraft (OpSec compliance)
• Incidence tracking tool (JIRA)
• Effective communication (written and oral)
