The Automation Technician II will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing equipment during the night shift (D Shift) to ensure continuous production and minimize downtime at Jabil Inc.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as an Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI interfaces
- Experience with robotics (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with vision systems and servo drives
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
