Lead Mechanical Engineer

Jabil is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems and products within our manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Lead the entire product development lifecycle for mechanical components and systems, from conceptualization and design to prototyping, testing, and production launch.
• Conduct advanced mechanical analysis, including stress, thermal, vibration, and fluid dynamics using simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs) ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal quality requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues arising during design, production, and field operations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure robust and reliable designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
