Test Engineer III

Test Engineers III at Jabil will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production. They will lead test engineers, communicate with customers, and develop training programs. The role requires a bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical engineering and 5-10 years of experience.

Requirements

• Recruit and interview test engineers
• Coach test engineers in the interviewing/hiring process
• Communicate criteria to recruiters for process technician position candidates
• Monitor team member turnover and identify key factors that can be improved
• Create and/or validate training curriculum
• Coach and mentor test engineers to deliver excellence
• Establish clear measurable goals and objectives
• Solicit ongoing feedback from team members
• Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time
• Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve
• Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises
• Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently
• Provide regular updates to assistant test engineering manager on the execution of the strategy
• Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems
• Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends
• Perform duties that involve conventional engineering practices
• Manage the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices
• Compile and document data necessary to analyze performance and make recommendations
• Assist customer, setup training program for new product testing procedures
• Provide training and assist test engineers
• Act as the liaison and technical conduit for assigned customers
• Explore new avenues and test technologies for quality improvements
• Perform detailed analysis on test quality of product assigned
• Monitor, through assigned test engineer, all NPI activities
