The Tooling Technician is responsible for the repair and'return-to-operation' of injection molding tools that are actively engaged in producing quality products.
Requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance on Injection Molds according to procedure and reports the status of the molds to the supervisor.
- Operates machining tools and equipment for preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the molds.
- Perform repairs and tests on Injection Molds.
- Maintains stock inventories by ensuring the proper levels of component parts are available at all times for tooling repair.
- Improves the efficiency and accuracy of molded products by the documenting reasons for mold repairs and solutions to prevent future manufacturing interruptions.
- Follows all procedures and training.
- Maintains excellent attendance.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Advise supervisor of any recurring production failures so that prompt corrective action may be taken.
- Escalates recurring issues through the proper chain of command.
- Maintains logs of all molds that have undergone preventative maintenance, as well as controlling each of the molds.
- Maintains machine cleanliness standards.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
