Job Description
The Director of Modernization & Development is responsible for overseeing construction administration, project management, and contract administration for the Jacksonville Housing Authority. The position requires a strong background in construction management, project coordination, and budgeting, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, Building Construction Management, or closely related field
- 5 years of progressively responsible construction management experience
- Thorough knowledge of construction principles, methods, procedures, and materials
- Thorough knowledge of specification writing, bidding procedures, cost of labor and materials for construction
- Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of HUD programs as they relate to capital needs
