FPGA Engineer

Jane Street is seeking an FPGA Engineer for a summer internship program. The program aims to provide a real-world experience in finance, involving classes, interactive sessions, and collaboration with full-time employees on real projects. Interns will learn how Jane Street uses tools to make programming faster and more reliable, applying these principles to FPGA Engineering using Hardcaml, an OCaml library. The internship involves diving deep into a project, mentored by full-time employees, and building FPGA applications from concept to a working design using OCaml & Hardcaml.

Requirements

• Comfortable with a software programming language
• Experienced with a Hardware Description (or Construction) language (VHDL, Verilog, Chisel, Pymtl, or other), for both writing and testing hardware designs
• Experienced working with FPGA vendor tools - Vivado or Quartus
• Experienced with building a working FPGA project through an academic, professional, or personal project
• Interested in learning how to use FPGAs in the context of networking
• Fluent in English
