Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers. They will utilize market data and develop sales strategies, maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services, and travel to meet with customers. Strong leadership presence, consultative selling, and negotiation skills are required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services
• Experience with CRM and CMS tools
• Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry to include - air/ocean/imports/exports/customs brokerage operations
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Skilled in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to travel frequently within the region
