Laser Operator - Weekend

The Laser Operator will perform laser operations and activities involved in the production of equipment at JCB North America. The job requires a high school diploma, certificate in Laser technology, and 2 years of laser operator experience. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment with heavy equipment, and requires flexibility, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Perform typical laser cutting operations
• Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
• Perform some machine alignment procedures and optic cleaning
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area
• Perform all dimensional inspections
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
• Chart machine performance and administer routine checks/maintenance
• Preparing raw materials for production
• Apply Problem Solving Tools and Techniques to assist Fabrication
