Senior Project Engineer will manage small projects or components of large projects, applying JE Dunn processes and tools to manage project management, administration, and field execution. The role involves leading teams, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Performs assigned aspects of company safety and quality plans
- Coordinates with project QA/QC planning
- Participates in estimating and change management process
- Works on site with project team to carry out tasks
- Participates in various project meetings
- Coordinates and inspects work
- Creates procurement logs and tracks shop drawings
- Provides progress updates and reports
- Oversees project close out
- Utilizes company best practice standards
- Builds relationships with tradespeople and project team members
- Demonstrates understanding of various functions and support roles
- Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork
- Implements Lean practices and best practices
- Leads preparation of estimates for base project, self-perform work, and change requests
- Makes decisions on subcontractor selection and vendor coordination
- Coordinates approved purchase orders and material purchases
- Supports and/or completes job set-up and project administration
- Leads submittal process and prepares project schedule
- Analyzes and reports production statistics
- Manages project risks
- Coordinates various meetings
- Reviews and approves subcontractor and vendor pay applications
- Demonstrates understanding of terms and conditions of owner contracts and subcontracts
- Initiates conversations about potential issues
- Leads project close out process and provides training and mentorship
