The Residential Counsellor is responsible for the overall safety of the residence and for creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for clients during their stay. This position includes supportive counselling, facilitation of evening activities, crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and facilitation of community meetings.
Requirements
- College Diploma in Addictions and Mental Health or equivalent qualification
- A combination of 3 years of work experience in the field of Mental Health, Substance Use, and/or Supportive Housing
- Expertise in providing supportive counselling and case management to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced a complex history of mental health concerns, and substance use
