Job Description
Aircraft Underwriter to review and underwrite contracts for the JSSI HCM programs, provide financial models, and support cross-functional teams. The role requires 2-3 years of aviation technical experience and knowledge of aircraft maintenance and logistics.
Requirements
- Collect cost data from functional representatives, contractors, and vendors
- Compute cost estimates of material procurement, repair, replenishment, and transportation
- Provide detailed profit and loss estimates
- Create cost models for cost estimating elements
- Prepare cost reports and present findings to management
- Utilize cost data to construct profitable pricing models
- Research and underwrite aircraft rates for new, transfer, and renewal contracts
- Maintain the database used for airframe and engine rate calculations
- Research cost comparisons – actual vs database pricing
- Provide technical support to Client Services and Sales Staff
- Communicate changes to inspection requirements to Technical Services field reps
- Research Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directives as required
- Assist with cost analysis studies and research projects
