Job Description
The Director, Finance Counsel provides legal advice and strategic guidance to multiple JetBlue departments, with a primary focus on supporting the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financial, treasury, and fleet-related transactions.
Requirements
- Structure, manage, and execute debt and equity transactions, including secured and unsecured financings, as well as short-term and long-term borrowings.
- Provide substantive legal support to the Treasury team on revolving and term loan credit agreements, aircraft financings, convertible debt, and other financial instruments.
- Lead and execute fleet-related transactions, including: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) purchase agreements, aircraft and engine leases, lease extensions, buyouts, and restructurings.
- Support transactions involving aircraft and engine renovations, acquisitions, and dispositions.
- Provide legal support for corporate strategic transactions, as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align legal advice with business strategy and operational needs.
