Job Description
The Staff Accountant supports the finance team and program directors to provide quality services to clients with basic needs, including food, mental health care, senior services, and child abuse prevention.
Requirements
- Degree in business, accounting, or finance
- Minimum of three years of related experience
- Knowledge of fiscal management, budgeting, and financial reporting principles and procedures, including GAAP
- Knowledge of general ledger systems, nonprofit accounting practices, and accounting terminology
- Ability to use general office equipment, computers, and related software programs, including advanced experience with Excel spreadsheets
- General knowledge of nonprofit auditing policies, standards, and procedures
- General knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations
