Job Description
Under the direction of the Camp & Youth Director, the Extended Care Camp Counselor will interact with and supervise campers aged 5-13 years old. Assist with planning and implementing morning or afternoon camp activities for a group of campers enrolled in the Extended Care program.
Requirements
- Must have the knowledge of campers' whereabouts at all times.
- Actively facilitates camper development in recreational activities, social skills development, values, multi-cultural and environmental awareness.
- Maintain a positive attitude and conduct with the staff team as a positive role model.
- Adhere to and enforce camp policies and procedures in a safe manner at all times.
- Attendance at staff meetings and pre-camp training (mandatory)
- Be prompt to all work shifts and assignments adhering to the daily camp schedule and operating calendar.
- Maintains all camp equipment and supplies.
- Care about and pay attention to campers' needs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Camp Leadership.
