Job Description
We're building JimdoPay—an integrated payment solution that enables solopreneurs with a complete list of payment capabilities. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll join our team at an early stage and help shape key features like embedded payments, link-to-pay, and smart quoting tools.
Requirements
- 6+ years in backend software development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java
- Demonstrated expertise in REST API design
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL and transactional workflows
- Practical exposure to Stripe or similar payment platforms
- Experience working with Kafka or equivalent messaging systems
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux environments
- Background in application security and secure coding principles
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code)
- Hands-on experience with Agentic Coding best practices
