Senior Staff Software Development Engineer (Backend)

As a Senior Staff engineer, the role entails a passion to contribute significantly to the design of platforms by solving complex technical problems and building systems that run at an enormous scale.

Requirements

• Serves as the functional lead, possess deep knowledge of core systems and takes full responsibility for the team's code, design, and project delivery, ensuring high quality and on-time completion
• Tackles complex technical challenges independently for complex systems, demonstrating technical depth and proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and areas for optimization
• Contribute to architectural discussions, propose innovative solutions, and evaluate trade-offs to make informed technical decisions
• Collaborate with product managers to decompose large projects into manageable tasks and prioritize work effectively
• Build the next-generation user experience and the platforms required to enable intuitive content discovery for our customers
• Work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across various platforms, Mobile, Web, and Living Room devices
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers
