Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform

Role Overview

This role sits at the core of a rapidly evolving AI-first product ecosystem, where backend systems define how intelligent automation is delivered across the entire platform. You will help build the foundational architecture that enables AI features, agents, and integrations to operate reliably at scale across multiple product surfaces.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and scale the backend infrastructure and platform capabilities that enable AI-powered features, integrations, and data-driven intelligence across the product ecosystem. Build and maintain application-layer AI infrastructure, including agent scaffolding, integration patterns, and shared backend services.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering expertise combined with hands-on experience building AI-enabled systems and scalable distributed architectures
• 5–8 years of backend software engineering experience in production environments
• Proven experience building AI-powered systems, including LLM integrations, agents, or AI-driven features
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or similar tools
• Experience building evaluation pipelines for AI systems, including testing, benchmarking, and quality measurement
• Strong background in integration engineering and designing robust external service connectors
• Experience with data pipelines for AI use cases, including RAG, embeddings, and vector search
• Strong backend architecture and system design skills with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Experience in high-growth or early-stage environments with strong ownership expectations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and product teams
• Curiosity for AI systems paired with strong engineering discipline and execution rigor
