Staff Software Engineer, Core Platform

Role Overview

This is a senior-level engineering position with significant technical ownership, where you will influence architecture decisions and shape core platform capabilities. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.

What You Will Do

Provide technical leadership for backend systems and APIs responsible for large-scale data ingestion, processing, and routing. Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, performant, and reliable distributed systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including work on large-scale distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and cloud-based service development
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system principles
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs in production environments
• Strong ownership mindset with focus on high-quality, scalable, and maintainable systems
• Experience working in Agile, iterative development environments
• Ability to rapidly prototype and learn new technologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and product teams
• Experience with high-volume data systems and telemetry or infrastructure platforms is highly desirable
• Must be eligible to meet U.S. government security requirements for FedRAMP access (may require U.S. citizenship)
