Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Birkirkara. The role involves day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping duties, assisting with VAT returns and management accounts, while supporting the Accounting Manager. The salary is up to €50K + performance bonus, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reporting
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct detailed variance analyses and provide insights
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and journal entries
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during audits
• Review and optimize accounting processes to improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Prepare and review annual and semi-annual financial statements for reporting purposes
