Buyer

Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. As a Buyer, you will support the Data Center Solutions (DCS)/Silent-Aire group in procuring commodities, supplies, equipment, and services. You will coordinate efforts with supervisors, utilize intermediate to advanced knowledge to purchase goods and services at the most favorable price, and build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, etc.
• 5+ years of related experience in purchasing for industrial or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience at an intermediate level with Microsoft Excel
• Aptitude and communications skills related to developing and maintaining effective working relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to form and maintain professional working relationships with both inside and outside vendors
