Construction Project Manager- HVAC

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager for their Building Technologies & Solutions business to lead large HVAC controls construction projects valued at $1M or more. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry, with a focus on mechanical retrofits, HVAC controls, and BAS management. The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in project management software, and the ability to execute projects with multiple subcontractors and scopes of work. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-150,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• 6 (six) years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry
• Management experience with projects related to Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems
• PMI/PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional) certification within 2 years of employment
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience
• Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems
• Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point, project), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment
• Ability to execute projects of higher project and contract complexity (Multiple subcontractors and multiple scopes of work)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work related experience
