Quality Manager

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality function at the Matamoras manufacturing site, owning the Quality Management System (QMS) and day-to-day product quality performance. The role ensures compliance to ISO 9001 and internal standards, drives problem solving and continuous improvement, champions Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new and changed products, and collaborates cross-functionally to meet customer requirements, reduce warranty risk, and improve First Pass Yield (FPY), Customer Escapes, scrap, and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or related field
• 5+ years in manufacturing quality, including leadership of QMS and audits
• Hands-on expertise with APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and problem-solving (8D, A3, DMAIC)
• Proficiency with data analysis and dashboards; ability to interpret capability indices and trend charts
• Strong communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams and interact with customers and suppliers
• Experience in electro-mechanical industry
• Knowledge of enterprise QMS systems and plant ERP/MES tools
• Certification(s): ASQ CQE/CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lead Auditor ISO 9001
• Bilingual skills preferred (English/spanish)
