Job Description
Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Thermal Data Center Systems Engineer to support the thermal subsystem or component designs within the data center cooling product portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of thermal/HVAC design experience
- Microsoft 365/Excel (including basic macros/VBA for data analysis and reporting)
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent)
- Engineering calculations and documentation (MathCAD, EES, or equivalent)
- Heat transfer analysis (conduction, convection, two-phase)
- Thermodynamic cycle analysis
- Fluid mechanics and hydraulic system design
- Thermal system component sizing and selection
- Product development lifecycle experience
- Prototype fabrication and hands-on testing
- Cross-functional project execution
