Registered Nurse- RN (On-Call)

Johnson County Government is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on-call in the mental health residential programs. The nurse will provide direct psychiatric services to adult and adolescent clients and work closely with the clinical team to meet individual mental health needs.

Requirements

• Provides comprehensive nursing services
• Assesses the holistic needs of individuals
• Collects and documents patient health history
• Administers injections
• Completes health assessments and performs limited exams
• Obtains, processes, and handles lab specimens
• Manages medication administration programs
• Performs minor procedures and treatments
• Completes and submits documentation regarding client care and condition
• Reviews quality and effectiveness of services provided
• Provides supportive resources to clients and families
• Develops and provides specialized health training and education to staff
• Provides support with medical and psychiatric care coordination
• Makes community referrals and follow-up to individuals and/or families
• Evaluates outcomes and makes changes as necessary
