Join Our Team as a Process Engineering Specialist at Johnson Electric! As a Process Engineering Specialist, you will provide engineering support focused on the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS) process. You will work crossâfunctionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve process performance, support new product introductions, and ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree or technical diploma in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with thermal spray processes (plasma spray, HVOF), fuel cell components, or powder metallurgy is an asset
- Experience in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong handsâon aptitude with willingness to spend significant time on the production floor
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and apply engineering fundamentals
- Strong data analysis skills, including design and interpretation of experiments
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools (5S, root cause analysis, PDCA, basic Lean concepts); Six Sigma exposure is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD is an asset
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problemâsolving skills
