Job Description
The Fabrication Shop Helper performs a variety of unskilled manual labor tasks, including moving, lifting, cleaning, and using materials or tools. They assist craft workers with tasks such as laying out, fabricating, and assembling industrial piping systems. The role requires physical ability to exert force, work at heights, and tolerate environmental conditions.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined or individuals who would like to get into welding or pipefitting.
- Ability to multi-task various projects with a level of detail.
- Work under close supervision.
- Follow assigned work instructions (mainly verbal).
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers and crafts workers.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn operations and equipment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
