Coordinator, Veterinary Nursing

The Coordinator, Veterinary Nursing functions as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in a teaching environment. Responsibilities include animal care, supervising students, maintaining facilities, and assisting faculty with classes.

Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician
• Three (3) years clinical experience
• Ability to assist with and perform a wide variety of routine medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures common to the veterinary practice setting
• Flexibility and availability for rotational On-Call duties (including weekend or holidays)
• Strong personal computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Attentiveness to detail, excellent organizational skills, initiative, multitasking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse population
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence
