Position dedicated to the development, implementation, and promotion of a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment for a Central Florida-based contractor specializing in site development, underground utilities, and bridge/highway contracts throughout Florida.
Requirements
- Communicates with all departments on planning, solution, and training for best practice to properly eliminate or control hazards by use of engineered systems or personal protective equipment
- Ensures company compliance with applicable state and federal MSHA, OSHA, FDOT, and internal policy requirements and standards
- Professionally represent the company with 3rd party regulatory agencies
- Conducts observations, inspections and audits. Prepares reports and communicates unsafe findings to appropriate authorities to address root causes and determining corrective action
- Supports and drives the investigation of near misses, incidents, and coordinates the preparation of material and evidence to identify root causes for the purpose of developing corrective and preventative actions
- Case management by way of communicating with management, staff, and medical providers and maintaining required records.
- Comfortably communicate and conduct training to employees in group field or classroom settings
- Provide first-aid care to minor injuries
- Other Tasks as needed
