Jubilee Housing is seeking a Recovery Support Counselor to play a critical role in their person-centered, multi-disciplinary approach to supporting justice involved citizens. The position provides individual and group counseling and life skills coaching services, including recovery support for people overcoming addiction, trauma, and other mental health conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human service field or 4-years equivalent experience
- At least two years of experience providing recovery support services
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and awareness with individuals referred and serviced
- Ability to comply with internal, local, state, and federal regulations, reporting requirements and policies
- Ability to use an online meeting platform and be able and willing to learn about technology as necessary
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents in company vehicle
- Understanding and supportive of a trauma-informed system of care
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM database systems
- Self-directed and flexible with the ability to meet the needs of the program and the residents
- Professional experience working with vulnerable populations, specifically justice-involved individuals
- Ability to support the organization’s mission and philosophy and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity and organizational harmony
