Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program for medical assistants with one year in a medical office setting preferred
• Medical Assistance Certification preferred
• Three years of experience in a medical office setting is required if not a graduate from a medical assisting program
• Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine
• Must have experience in medical assisting
• Knowledge of medical practice, patient care skills, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
• Must possess computer skills and customer service skills
• Capable of making sound decisions
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
