Job Description
The Mental Health Casework Section (MHCS) is part of the Public Protection Group (PPG) of Her Majesty’s Prisons and Probation Service (HMPPS). The role provides support to the Casework Team manager to ensure that published KPIs are met and that MHCS is able to function effectively.
Requirements
- Take decisions on requests from responsible clinicians for young persons who are patients
- Make recommendations to senior colleagues on requests for unescorted community leave, transfers between hospitals that involve a drop in levels of security and repatriation for young persons who are restricted patients
- Monitor prison transfers and remissions, Functional Mailbox ensuring that they are completed in a timely fashion
