The job holder will be responsible for managing a number of work areas within the Residence and Services Function of the establishment, contributing to the establishment's business plan, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a respectful, safe, and decent environment for prisoners and staff.
Requirements
- Ensure all managers and staff provide a respectful, safe, decent environment for all prisoners and staff
- Manage the achievement of qualitative and quantitative standards within the Function
- Analyses and acts upon data relevant to their Function
- Accountable for management of Residential Function and all staff within this area
- Ensure the establishment is clean and safe
- Ensure residential staff and managers adhere to local and national security policies
- Ensure interaction between prisoner and staff is actively encouraged
- Ensure Restoration of Remission is reviewed and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure procedures are in place to monitor the personal officer scheme
- Ensure the management of the Incentives and Earned Privileges (IEP) Scheme promotes prisoner rehabilitation and self-change
- Ensure staff review Cell Sharing Risk Assessments (CSRA) at appropriate timescales
- Ensure compliance with Assessment Care in Custody Teamwork (ACCT) policy and process
- Carry out investigations and administration in relation to incidents of potential discrimination
- Deliver and implement projects as directed by the Governor
- Encourage staff engagement to ensure objectives are met
