The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is the UK government department responsible for justice, courts, and sentencing.
Probation officers work with individuals who have been released from prison or are under supervision to help them rehabilitate and reintegrate into society. They assess the risk posed by offenders to public safety, provide advice and support to courts and other agencies, and work with offenders to address their needs and reduce their risk of reoffending. Probation officers also play a key role in preventing crime and supporting victims of crime.
